FIFTEEN new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Slovenia after 771 tests performed in the last 24 hours, and one infected person has died, the government said on Thursday.

The number of new cases fell from Wednesday when 18 infections had been identified after 974 tests.

The new cases were confirmed in ten municipalities, most of them in Ljubljana (5) and Domzale (2).

Since the start of the coronavirus outbreak in Slovenia, the number of infections has reached 2,223 and 190 cases are still active. The death toll is 125.

Currently, 24 people are receiving hospital treatment for the novel COVID-19 coronavirus and three of them are in intensive care.
