8,000 tickets have been sold so far for a train that will take the Czechs to Rijeka
YESTERDAY evening, tickets for the train that will be taking Czech and Slovak tourists to Rijeka were released for sale. The company Regiojet announced today that as many as 8,000 tickets have been sold so far!
They pointed out that the prices start at 22 euros for regular seats and 30 euros for a sleeping car. The reservation, coffee, breakfast, and free WIFI are included in the price.
"Tickets have never been this cheap. We want everyone to be able to afford a vacation trip to Croatia during these difficult times," says Ivana Kasicka, the director of RegioJet.
The first train departs on June 30, and it will run three times a week until September 26. On Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the train is to depart from the Czech Republic via Slovakia and Hungary, while on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Mondays, there will be a return train departing from Rijeka and Ljubljana.
According to RegioJet, Croats can also use this train to visit Prague, Brno, or Bratislava.
The train will also, as they mention, be a great solution for Austrians who want to go on vacation to Croatia because they can take a Regiojet bus from Vienna to Bratislava, as well as for Germans from the Dresden area, who can get to Prague and then reach Croatia by train.
They will take a bus in Rijeka to reach their final destination
According to the company, passengers will be able to take a RegioJet bus from Rijeka to the following destinations: Opatija, Rabac, Medulin, Pula, Rovinj, Porec, Novigrad, Malinska, Silo, Vrbnik, Krk, Baska, Crikvenica, Novi Vinodolski, Zadar, Sukosan, Biograd, Pakostane, Omis, Brela, Baska Voda, Makarska, Podgora, Podaca, Gradac, Sibenik, Primosten, Trogir, and Split.
RegioJet states that the bus ticket will not cost more than 12 euros, and the exact price depends on the destination.
