Bosnia has 338 new coronavirus cases, 8 fatalities

A TOTAL of 338 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday after more than 1,800 tests were conducted. 

In the Federation entity, 1,240 tests were done and 188 returned positive. Four more patients have died.

The largest number of new infections was reported in Sarajevo, 48.

In the Republika Srpska entity, 647 tests were conducted and 146 were found to be positive. Most of the new cases in that entity were reported in Banja Luka, 20, and Bosanska Gradiska, 19.

The entity has reported four more fatalities in the last 24 hours.

Since the start of the epidemic in the country, slightly more than 165,000 people have been tested for the virus and slightly more than 17,000 have been diagnosed with the COVID-19 disease.

There are currently slightly more than 5,700 active cases.
